Grampian Regional Equality Council (GREC) and Action for a Fairer World (AFW) are pleased to re-introduce the Anne Frank awards. These awards acknowledge work schools and groups are doing in any of these areas;
- Holocaust education
- Genocide/persecution
- Discrimination and inequality
- Peace and conflict
- Refugees/migration
- Children’s rights

There are many ways that schools can take part. To give a few examples, young people may:
- Celebrate anniversaries and organise events;
- Research historical events and present their findings;
- Engage in peer education or anti-bullying campaigns;
- Conduct social research projects among peers and the wider community;
- Produce artwork, poetry, drama, short films, comic strips or songs;
- Create projects covering any topic relating to Equality and Human Rights.
We are not asking you to go through a complex application or assessment process. Simply send an expression of interest to us at – info@grec.co.uk or afairerworld.mdec@gmail.com. We will then get back to have a brief chat about what you have been doing. In terms of documentation we look at what you have, there is no need to produce anything else.
You can see two entries from 2021 here.
