Community Outreach
We are committed to supporting Grampian’s diverse communities and helping build strong relationships between them. If you are a community leader or representative in Aberdeen, our outreach worker is your direct link to GREC and all of our networks. Whether you have concerns about a specific issue particular, an opportunity to share or event to plan, or want to refer an individual for support, please get in touch.

Integrate Grampian
GREC coordinates this multi-agency forum, which monitors and shares information on integration and community cohesion across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray. Integrate Grampian also developed Living and Working in North East Scotland, and oversaw the development of How Fair is North East Scotland? It is currently working to update both.

No Recourse North East Partnership
NRPF (No Recourse to Public Funds): Tackling and Preventing Destitution
GREC is a founding partner of the No Recourse North East Partnership since 2014. The Partnership works to ensure that people impacted by NRPF from ethnic minority communities (for example affected by or threatened with homelessness, domestic abuse and/or destitution) are aware of their rights and receive appropriate and good quality advice.
The Tackling and Preventing Destitution project provides free training for organisations which work with people with NRPF and shares information and best practice via three sub groups which focus on international students, people seeking asylum and survivors of domestic abuse. We also have a group of people with lived experience of NRPF which meets regularly.
