Financial inclusion is at the heart of our AberdeenAIM project. We provide support to ethnic minority communities and individuals across Grampian at risk of being targeted by ‘loan sharks’
AberdeenAIM offers free illegal moneylending training sessions to ethnic minority community groups and organisations in Grampian. These sessions are intended to enhance the financial literacy of participants through discussing topics such as financial terminology, the cycle of debt, and the difference between legal and illegal lending.
We can also provide confidential, one to one support for individuals, offering assistance with benefits applications, budgeting tips, and help to identify & access other sources of support. Language support can be provided by InTrans as neccessary.
